All JCL Energy reconditioned units go through a scrutinous acquisition and reconditioning process - highlighted below - before they deliver and recommissioned into service.

Reconditioned Transformer Process

1-Recon-Procurement
1. Procurement

The JCL Energy team conducts a comprehensive search of surplus equipment to find transformers that are perfect for reconditioning.

2-Recon-Inspection
2. Inspection

A thorough inspection of the unit determines what work needs to be completed to build the unit back to JCL standards for resale.

3-Recon-Replace
3. Replace / Modify

Any gauges, fuses, values, etc. inspected and replace accordingly to ensure safe and long-lasting operation.

4-Recon-Paint
4. Powerwash / Paint

The unit is then methodically sanded, cleaned and repainted to restore the transformer’s enclosure.

5-Recon-Modify
5. Reassembly

The transformer is reassembled - including internal and external components, as well as tank assembly. Leading to...

6-Recon-Testing
6. Testing

TTR, megger, resistance and power factor (if applicable) testing is conducted on the unit to ensure eventual proper reenergization.

7-Recon-QC
7. QR / Final Review

The JCL team meticulously inspects and photographs the unit prior to shipment.

8-Recon-Shipment
8. Shipment

The unit is released into the wild, and transported off to its new home.
